Enhanced Autism Assessment

In addition to the standard assessment for Autism this Enhanced Autism Assessment package will also highlight strengths and difficulties within your child’s learning profile.

Assessing Your Child’s Potential

We know that neurodivergent children are more likely to present with differences in their learning profile and a Cognitive Assessment can help to understand this. This enhanced assessment leads to tailored recommendations to support your child’s unique learning profile.

Additionally, this assessment can be used to help identify underlying Global Learning Disability or Intellectual Disability.

Enhanced Autism Assessment – Face-to-Face

If you choose the Enhanced Package then one of our psychologists will administer a Cognitive Assessment in addition to the Autism Assessment, during the face-to-face appointment.

We use the Wechsler Intelligence Scales for Children – Fifth UK Edition (WISC-V)

This is an assessment using:

• Blocks
• Patterns
• Word games
• Pencil and paper activities

This helps us understand someone’s learning profile.

Full-Scale IQ Score

The assessment generates a ‘Full-Scale IQ score’ as well as providing helpful information on the child’s unique learning profile which can help us to understand how best to support their learning and study skills. This assessment can also help to identify whether a child presents with a Global Learning Disability or Intellectual Disability.
