Importantly, Rebecca is passionate about supporting children with neurodevelopmental differences (e.g. ASD) and their families. Of note, this has been a longstanding dedication for her ever since her sibling received a diagnosis of ASD many years ago. Rebecca is passionate about providing high-quality assessments and diagnoses in order to help families to begin, or continue with, their journey in learning about autism in a positive and supported way.

Experience

Dr. Rebecca Hunt has had training and significant experience in the use of a range of specialist diagnostic tools (e.g. Autism Diagnostic Schedule – 2nd Edition; ADOS-II) and uses these within her practice. Similarly, she also has expertise in the assessment of differences in development that can be related to ASD (e.g. attention and impulsivity, mental health, learning, and development) and this forms part of her diagnostic assessment work.

Rebecca has expertise in writing assessment reports, which include recommendations tailored to the needs of the individual, whether or not they receive a diagnosis.

In addition, she has experience in adapting and delivering specialist therapy to meet the needs of children and adults with ASD and other neurodevelopmental differences when they also present with mental health or behavioural concerns.

Furthermore, Rebecca is skilled and experienced in providing post-diagnostic support for children and their families after a diagnosis has been given. She provides teaching and training in the area of neurodevelopmental assessment (e.g. ASD assessment) and adaptations of therapies for children with ASD and other neurodevelopmental differences.

Rebecca also supervises and leads others to develop skills in these areas.

Dr. Alison Taylor

Senior Clinical Psychologist

Alison is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over eight years experience of working in a range of NHS services. She qualified as a Clinical Psychologist after completing her doctoral training at Royal Holloway University.

Having considerable experience working in specialist CAMHS, she has been a Neurodevelopmental Pathway Lead and trained in specialist assessment and treatment of different neurodivergent conditions, including Autism and ADHD.

Alison is passionate about trauma-informed care and has trained in specialist trauma-focused therapies including EMDR. Outside of work, she enjoys mindfulness, being in nature, exercising, and spending time with family and friends

Dr. Emma Palluotto

Clinical Psychologist

Emma is a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Emma completed her doctoral training at the University of East London in 2023.

She has six years’ experience working in a range of NHS services including child and adolescent mental health services, adult mental health services, and paediatric and adult health psychology services.

Emma has experience in neurodevelopmental assessment in both national specialist services and local community services.

Emma has experience in providing therapeutic interventions to children with neurodevelopmental differences who also present with mental health difficulties, and in co-running post-diagnostic support groups for parents of children recently diagnosed with ASD.

Dr. Lauren Daniel

Clinical Psychologist

Lauren is a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has 10 years experience of working in a range of NHS services, including specialist community services for adults with mental health difficulties, adult physical health settings, and CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services).

Within the latter role, she predominantly uses systemic approaches to work with children presenting with mental health or behavioural concerns, as well as their families and wider systems.

Lauren routinely works with professionals in other agencies and is the mental health lead for six schools, where she provides consultations and training to teaching staff.

Lauren has also gained experience and training in assessing Autism, ADHD, and Learning Difficulties, as well as experience in adapting the therapeutic approach to working with individuals with neurodevelopmental differences. 

Abigail Mance

Principal Speech and Language Therapist

Abigail is an HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist with over twenty years experience of working within the NHS. She has expertise in diagnostic assessments for ASD and currently works part-time in a tertiary-level NHS diagnostic service. 

She has also worked in other settings including mainstream and special needs nurseries and schools and a specialist centre for children who stammer.  Abigail recently worked as a visiting tutor and lecturer at City University.  Her specialisms are autism, language disorders, and selective mutism.  

Richard Martin

Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Richard is an HCPC-registered speech and language therapist and a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. He has over 10 years’ experience in the NHS and a background of working in special schools and delivering preschool interventions for autistic children and those with social communication difficulties.

Since completing his ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) training in 2021, Richard has worked alongside Clinical Psychologists and Paediatricians in the assessment and diagnosis of autism in children and young people.

Richard is passionate about raising awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity and promoting the use of neuro affirmative language and therapeutic approaches.

In his spare time, Richard enjoys singing in a choir, open-water swimming, and long country walks.

Alice Carter

Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Alice Carter is a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with experience in working in schools and with families to support communication needs.  Since 2015 she has developed her specialist skills in working with families and young people presenting with neurodiversity.

She is ADOS-2 trained and works regularly alongside paediatricians and psychologists to complete diagnostic assessments.  Alice is also passionate about working with under 5s to support interaction and communication, she is More Than words trained.

In her spare time, Alice loves trips to the sea in the family camper van for surfing and sea swimming!

Claire Ambler

Claire Ambler

Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Claire is a Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist registered with the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT), Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Association for Speech & Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). She worked in the local NHS service for 10 years including several years as part of the autism assessment team. Claire is trained in the ADOS-2 and ADI-R assessments.

Claire has two young children who keep her very busy! In her spare time, Claire enjoys yoga, baking, and growing vegetables. 

Dr Catriona Amberton

Principal Clinical Psychologist

Dr Catriona Amberton is an HCPC and BPS registered psychologist and has worked in the NHS since 2010. In addition to her doctorate from UCL, Catriona also has a Masters degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology and regularly conducts expert witness work for criminal courts.

She has extensive experience and knowledge across the lifespan but primarily works with children, adolescents, parents and families. Catriona is able to assess and provide interventions across the range of social, emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties. She has particular expertise with neurodivergence and regularly carries out diagnostic assessments and provides onward support.

Alongside her private work, Catriona is employed as a Principal Clinical Psychologist in West Essex Community Paediatrics.
